Dispatch Character Gemstones
This is a silly little project that I put together on a whim. It is similar to those playlists that some people create for fictional characters; the music lists that reflect the character's personality, motivations, and emotional journey. They are typically put together for fun or as a way to test how well you understand the character. Except this one is with minerals and the spiritual meaning often ascribed to them.

Blue Apatite
Apatite is an abundant and widely distributed phosphate mineral most commonly found in the colors blue and yellow; green, purple, and brown are found less often. Its name comes from the Greek word meaning "to deceive", due to it often being mistaken for other minerals. The name 'apatite' actually covers three different minerals (fluorapatite, chlorapatite and hydroxylapatite) but they are usually lumped together due to the difficulty in distinguishing them from each other.
In spiritualism blue apatite is known as the "Stone of Manifestation" because it clears away apathy or negativity and encourages proactive steps toward achieving goals, and finding deeper meaning and purpose in life. It can be used for personal growth or for collective good, and is associated with wisdom, self-insight, and communication.

Azurite is a soft copper mineral produced by the weathering of copper ore deposits. It is light to dark blue in color, but can sometimes contain traces of green from malachite which is often found with azurite, or transition into a green color when exposed to light, heat, and moisture. Malachite and azurite's chemical formulas are very close to each other, allowing malachite to pseudo-morph into Azurite; called Azurmalachite. Azurite is also sometimes found speckled in granite; called K2 Azurite or K2 Granite.
In spiritualism azurite is known as the "Stone of Heaven" because it focuses on deep self-discovery, emotional balance, intellect, wisdom, and letting go of material things. It is believed to open the mind to new perspectives and clear away tension and confusion.
