Music to Level Up Your Day: Dragon Age: Inquisition

I don't know much about musical theory, nor am I a musically inclined person. However, I do love to listen to video game soundtracks. They can be a powerful listening experiences in their own right, or be as evocative as the scores composed for film. Each of these posts will feature a sampling of music tracks from a single game title, or series/franchise in some rare cases. A complete list of these can be found on the Video Game Music page.

Composer: Trevor Morris

North American Release Date: November 2014

The story follows the "Inquisitor" on a journey to settle the civil unrest in the continent of Thedas and close a mysterious tear in the sky called the "Breach", which is unleashing dangerous demons upon the world.

The decision to have Trevor Morris compose the game's soundtrack was an intentional change meant to introduce the franchise to a new emotional flavor. The creative and technical vision for Inquisition, as well as relevant audio guidelines, were defined very early in pre-production. Many distinct audio areas were delegated to individual employees who took ownership of the tasks they were assigned responsibility for.
